CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Excess volatility increases risk further. Be cautious. Past performance is not an indication of future results.

Which account can carry swap-free status (Pakistan)

Swap-free is not a sixth account sitting beside the others. It is a status placed on top of a qualifying account, and that account keeps every cost it had except one.

Exness offers swap-free (Islamic) accounts on qualifying account types: the overnight swap — the interest charged or paid on a position carried past the daily rollover — is not applied on eligible instruments. The status is set at account opening or later in the Personal Area. The spread and any commission the account already charges are untouched.

Two decisions, taken in this order

People arriving for a swap-free account usually try to take one decision. There are two, and reversing them wastes the first.

  • Decision one — the carrier. Which account type will hold the money: how it charges, which platforms it reaches, what base currency it is denominated in. This decision is about cost and comfort, and it is the one that is hard to undo — the base currency is fixed when the account is created.
  • Decision two — the status. Whether that account carries swap-free. This one is a setting: it can be requested at opening, and it lives in the Personal Area afterwards.

Taking decision two first produces the common dead end — a status chosen without a carrier under it, and a carrier that turns out to charge in a way nobody looked at.

Reading the creation screen in order

The account creation screen asks several things at once. Read it in the order below rather than top to bottom, because one of the fields is permanent and the rest are not.

  1. Find where the cost sits

Every account charges the spread — the gap between the buy price and the sell price, taken as a trade opens. Some types quote a wider spread and no commission; others quote spreads starting from 0.0 pips and add a commission per lot instead. Neither shape is affected by swap-free, so settle it on its own terms.

  2. Check the base currency field

The creation screen lists the currencies available for each type. The choice is fixed once the account exists, and a payment sent in another currency is converted into it by the payment provider. Nothing about swap-free changes this.

  3. Look for the swap-free option

Swap-free is offered on qualifying types. If the option is not visible on the type you selected, that type is the reason — go back to step one rather than assuming the option is missing everywhere.

  4. Rehearse the pairing before it holds money

A demo account is free, funded with virtual money and has no time limit. Open the same platform, hold something past the rollover and see which lines appear. Demo results don’t guarantee the same results on a real account, but the shape of the statement carries over.

Choosing between two shapes of charging

Set the status aside entirely for a moment. Account types differ in one structural way, and it is the only comparison worth making at this stage.

  • Wider spread, no commission. One figure to read, taken at the open. Simpler to price a trade in advance, and quoted from 0.3 pips on the entry-level type.
  • Tighter spread, a commission per lot. Two figures instead of one, with spreads quoted from 0.0 pips. It prices better on larger sizes and worse on very small ones, and it asks you to add two numbers rather than read one.

There is a third shape that is not a charging model at all: the cent-denominated account, where the balance and the trades are counted in cents so that positions run far smaller. It is a way of making a mistake cheap rather than a way of making a trade cheap.

Whichever shape is chosen, the swap-free status sits on top of it unchanged. That is why this comparison is done first and on its own terms.

What choosing an account cannot settle

  • Whether trading itself is permissible. That is a personal and scholarly question. A broker supplies an option; it does not issue a ruling, and neither does this handbook.
  • Whether the position was sensible. Removing an overnight line changes the cost of holding, not the risk of holding. is a separate subject.
  • What your own statement will say. Figures on a page are examples; the ones that count appear in your platform before a trade is confirmed.

One protection belongs to the account rather than to the status: if a sudden market move pushes an account below zero, the balance is reset to zero.

Negative Balance Protection stops an account at zero: a loss is limited to the funds placed in it.

Questions asked while the form is open

Is swap-free an account type of its own?

No. It is a status placed on a qualifying account type, which keeps its own spread and commission arrangement.

Can the status be added after the account already exists?

It can be set at account opening or in the Personal Area afterwards — the account itself does not have to be recreated.

Which shape of charging suits a very small first position?

The single-figure one is easier to price at small sizes; a per-lot commission weighs proportionally more when the lot is tiny.

Can the account type be changed later?

A different type means a different account. What cannot move at all is the base currency of an account that already exists.

Which platforms does the choice of type affect?

Types differ in which of MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, the Exness Terminal and the Exness Trade app they reach — a practical point that has nothing to do with the status.
