CFDs are complex instruments and come with a high risk of losing money rapidly due to leverage. Excess volatility increases risk further. Be cautious. Past performance is not an indication of future results.

Four groups, short answers

Swap-free questions, and the shortest honest answers (Pakistan)

Four groups: whether the option is worth having at all, which words get mixed up with which, what changes once you are trading, and how to read a statement that surprised you. Answers are short on purpose.

If a page is needed for only one sentence, this is it: Exness offers swap-free (Islamic) accounts on qualifying account types, removing the overnight swap on eligible instruments. The spread and any commission still apply, and some instruments may carry a fixed administration fee in place of swap after a number of days.

Group one — is the option worth having

What does a swap-free account actually change?

One line. Positions carried past the daily rollover on eligible instruments are not charged or paid swap interest.

Is it useful if trades are closed the same day?

Barely. Without a rollover there is no swap to remove, so the cost stays where it was.

Does it cost anything to have the status?

The status itself is an account setting. What the account costs is decided by its type — spread, and commission on the types that charge one.

Is forex trading halal?

That is a personal and scholarly question rather than something a broker decides. A swap-free account removes the interest element on overnight positions; many traders consult a qualified scholar on the wider question.

Does the broker take a position on that question?

No. Exness simply provides the swap-free option, and this site is an independent handbook that issues no ruling either.

Group two — words people use interchangeably and should not

Are «Islamic account» and «swap-free account» two different things?

No, they name one arrangement. Nothing turns on which phrase is used.

Is «eligible» the same as «available to trade»?

No. An instrument can be available and still not be one the removal covers. They are separate tests.

Is an administration fee a kind of swap?

No. Swap follows an interest rate and repeats at each rollover; the fee is fixed and arrives only after a position has been held for several days.

Is a hidden column the same as a removed charge?

No. One is a setting in the software, the other belongs to the account.

Is «no swap» the same as «no cost»?

No, and this is the substitution that causes most of the disappointment reported with the arrangement.

Group three — what changes once you are trading

Which instruments does the removal reach?

Eligible ones, decided instrument by instrument. Major forex pairs and gold are the usual examples, out of more than 100 instruments in total.

Do spreads change on a swap-free account?

No. The spread belongs to the account type, and types quoting from 0.0 pips still quote from 0.0 pips.

Which platforms work with it?

MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, the Exness Terminal in a browser and the Exness Trade app — the same account through different windows.

Can a position be held for weeks?

Nothing closes it automatically, but a fixed administration fee can apply on some instruments after several days, so a long hold deserves a specific question to support.

Does it change how money is sent or withdrawn?

No. That side of the account is unaffected; the status touches one cost line.

Group four — reading a statement that surprised you

Do swap-free accounts have other fees?

Yes — the spread and any account commission still apply, and some instruments may carry a fixed administration fee in place of swap after a number of days.

A charge appeared overnight. What was it?

If it repeats at each rollover, it is swap — which points at either the instrument’s eligibility or the account’s status. If it arrived once, late in a long hold, it is more likely the administration fee.

The platform shows no swap column at all. Is that proof?

No. Columns can be hidden, and a trade that never crossed a rollover has nothing to show. The Personal Area is where the status is read.

The demo behaved differently from the real account. Which is right?

The real account. Demo results don’t guarantee the same results on a real account, and a demo is not the account whose status is in question.

Who can look at my account and settle this?

Exness support, available 24/7. This handbook has no access to any account.

How far down can an account go?

To zero and no further: if a sudden market move pushes an account below zero, the balance is reset to zero. Negative Balance Protection stops an account at zero: a loss is limited to the funds placed in it.

What a FAQ cannot do here

It cannot confirm your account, name your eligible symbols, or answer the question about permissibility. CFDs are complex instruments, trading is risky and may not be suitable for everyone; many people lose money when they start.
